MID-SEASON WATCH LIST

Editor: The following is part of a press release from louhenson.com.

(Boston, MA) – The 2018-19 Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List was announced on Wednesday.

The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation’s top mid-major player in Division I College Basketball.

Dylan Windler – belmontbruins.com

Lou Henson coached 41 years. When he left the game in 2005 he was sixth all-time in career Division I wins with 779. He is the winningest coach at both Illinois and New Mexico State. He is one of only 12 coaches in the history of the game to take two schools to the Final Four.

The 2019 Lou Henson Award will be presented at the College Insider awards event in April at the site of the men’s division I national championship in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Editor: The Missouri Valley’s Jordan Barnes (Indiana State) and Milik Yarbrough (Illinois State) are part of the mid-season watch list. Four Ohio Valley players join them. Ja Morant (Murray State), Nick Mayo (Eastern Kentucky), Belmont’s Dylan Windler and Austin Peay’s Terry Taylor are in the running.

Loyola’s Clayton Custer was last year’s Lou Henson Award Winner.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
