Billikens Back on FSM
ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University and FOX Sports Midwest announced today that 13 Billikens men’s basketball games will be televised on the network in 2016-17.
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with FOX Sports Midwest as we begin an exciting new era under head coach Travis Ford,” SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. “Building community is one of our department’s strategic objectives, and exposing our men’s basketball product to the region is a big part of ensuring we meet that objective. This year, we made it a priority to have as many road games televised on FOX Sports Midwest as possible, and we are excited to bring our games at Wichita State, at St. Bonaventure and at Richmond back to the St. Louis market.”
“Billikens basketball is an ideal fit in our winter programming schedule,” FOX Sports Midwest General Manager and Senior Vice President Jack Donovan said. “The level of interest is high as the Travis Ford era at Saint Louis University begins.”
The Billikens’ first three games of the season, including the home opener Friday, Nov. 11 against Ball State, kick off the coverage on FOX Sports Midwest. Dan McLaughlin, who just wrapped up his 19th season as part of the St. Louis Cardinals’ telecasts for FSMW, will serve as the primary play-by-play voice. Billiken Hall of Famer Scott Highmark returns as the analyst.
