Can The Sycamores Slay the Dragon?
(St. Louis, MO) – Indiana State isn’t glad to be in the Missouri Valley Conference championship game. They intend on winning the title and ruining the Wichita State perfect season. After Saturday’s 62-59 semi-final win over Southern Illinois Head Coach Greg Lansing said his team isn’t satisfied.
All Conference guard Jake Odum said post-game, “I want a piece of Wichita State ever since they got us at our place. We felt like we competed with them there. They’re a really good team. In my opinion, the best team in the nation. We feel like we can compete with them. We know we’re right there. We know we’ve got to make some adjustments from the first two times we played them. We’re looking forward to it. Our goal when we got here was to meet up with them in a championship and play out there and give it all we’ve got, and that’s what we’re going to do tomorrow.”
Can they win against the nation’s second ranked team?
Lansing knows his team has a will to win.
Both of these teams will play post-season basketball, but the championship game of Arch Madness means a lot these two dynamic programs.
