Evansville Writers Magley and Kristensen

Covering the D1 Basketball Beat

(St. Louis, MO) – Evansville is buzzing about Division 1 basketball and the “Evansville Courier Press” may be covering James Naismith’s beloved game better than most ‘mid-major’ basketball cities. As Southern Indiana is making the leap to D1 status and the University of Evansville has a new coaching staff and some exciting new players, season ticket sales are up and people are excited.

Hendrix Magley covers USI while Anthony Kristensen follows the Purple Aces. We cheer the Courier Press for the way they are serving their sporting community.

Excitement is high around each program. You can watch the interview here! You may want to simply listen and you can do that at Valley Hoops Insider Podcasts.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Josh Betts @BettsOnSports

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
