Evansville’s Strong Schedule

(St. Louis, MO) – Walter McCarty’s first year Evansville’s schedule is demanding and impressive.  With at least three games against NCAA Tournament teams from last season.

Power Six opponents Xavier and Illinois are part of the Maui Classic participation. Ohio Valley Conference powers Murray State (26-6) and Jacksonville State (23-13) are December adversaries.

The Purple Aces play three games with Mid-American members Ball State (19-13) and Miami of Ohio (16-18). Their home-and-home encounters with the Cardinals pit the two Indiana based schools in a bragging rights competition. (See ‘McCarty Party Has Started‘ for some early insights on the head coach’s thoughts about building a schedule)

Other opponents include Mountain West member Wyoming and the Horizon League’s Green Bay, both visiting Evansville’s Ford Center.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
