(St. Louis, MO) – Missouri Valley Conference teams are still adding talent for the upcoming season. Below are portions of press releases from unipanthers.com and gosycamores.com concerning the latest player signings.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Basketball head coach Greg Lansing announced Tuesday that Qiydar Davis (pronounced KEY-dahr) has elected to join the Sycamores as a graduate transfer from Louisiana Tech.

We are excited about welcoming Qiydar into the Sycamore Family,” head coach Greg Lansing said. “This is the first time we have recruited the graduate transfer that has become so prevalent today.  Q brings a toughness, a serious work ethic and tremendous experience to our team. He is a bigger wing player that is extremely athletic and can defend multiple positions.

Davis is a native of Atlanta, Ga., and has the last three seasons at Louisiana Tech. Prior to then he played at Indian Hills Community College and Pensacola State College. He is 6-5, 215 and will play the wing position for the Sycamores.

In 2016-17, Davis started in five games at small forward before suffering a season-ending knee injury at Cal on Nov. 30. He averaged 5.0 points and 2.8 rebounds per game and scored a season-high eight points against Alabama State,

Cedar Falls, IA – University of Northern Iowa head men’s basketball coach Ben Jacobson has added junior college transfer guard Miles Wentzien to the 2017-18 Panther roster.

Wentzien (6’3″, 190 lbs.) earned first-team junior college All-America honors last season at Kirkwood College. Wentzien is the third straight Kirkwood guard to earn All-America accolades and then sign with UNI.

The Fort Madison, Iowa, native averaged 14.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last season for Kirkwood.

Wentzien began his collegiate career at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Wentzien is a 2015 graduate of Fort Madison High School. He earned all-district, all-state, academic all-conference and academic all-state honors as a prep. He averaged 23 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
