Veteran Beat Writers Break Down the MVC

(St. Louis, MO) – Missouri Valley Conference teams tip off their conference schedule on Wednesday night so we talked over the early season results and trends in the Valley with Todd Hefferman of the Southern Illinoisan Newspaper and Jim Benson of the Pantagraph Newspaper. It’s opening night in the Missouri Valley.

With over 30 years of MVC history between them, these two are a wealth of knowledge.

An emotional win for UNI. 36 hours ago, they learned their teammate, one of their leaders, Grace Boffeli, suffered a season-ending ACL tear.

Two of her roommates, Maya McDermott and Kayba Laube, combined for 58 points in an historic win. Credit @TommyBirch with great questions.
