Miller is this week’s ‘Newcomer of the Week’ and has won the award five times. Devonte Brown has taken hold of the leadership reins at Indiana State. Brown averaged 25 points during  last week’s two games, and over the last seven games the Kileen, Texas native is averaging 19 points per game. For his efforts Brown has been named the Valley’s ‘Player of the Week’ and he is one point from the 1,000 point level for his impressive Sycamore career.

Ohio Valley Conference

Nick Mayo has run away with the early outstanding freshman in the OVC label. The 6’9 freshman won his seventh ‘Freshman of the Week’ award (third straight) for averaging 19 points last week for Eastern Kentucky. He also collected his first career double-double.
