Hinson Back Where He Belongs!

Barry HinsonSt. Louis, MO – He’s Back! Barry Hinson is back in the Missouri Valley Conference and while his Southern Illinois Salukis lost to his rival Missouri State Bears (that all sounds weird doesn’t it?) he is a grateful man and there is just something right about Hinson in the MVC.

S-I-U-C finished with a 14-17 record, but Barry Hinson is a proven winner and will have that program on the rise soon. As a Division One head coach, Hinson is more than 50 games over .500, including a record at Missouri State of 169 – 117.

After the loss to the Bears, Hinson told reporters he’s glad to be back in the Valley.

Illinois State Coach Dan Muller has returned to his alma mater and  the league he loves too. Later we’ll have more about that former Redbird player and current head man.

Thanks for logging on to Heartland Hoops Insider!

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
