Let the Games Begin!

(Indianapolis, IN) – I have safely arrived in the Hoosier State for the first round games of the NCAA Tournament. Wichita State of the Missouri Valley Conference and Jacksonville State of the Ohio Valley Conference are here too, so we’ll have plenty of content coming to our MVC and OVC fans!

Already Belmont and Illinois State have been successful in National Invitation Tournament play. Our two teams in Indianapolis play on Friday. Jacksonville, a 15 seed, drew second seeded Louisville in Friday’s second game of the day and 10th seeded Wichita State battles 7th seeded Dayton in a 7:10 (ET) contest. The games are sandwiched by Michigan and Oklahoma State’s early game and Kentucky’s late night contest with Northern Kentucky.

We’ll talk to the players and coaches, snap some practice shots and try to give you the feel of what is going on here in Indiana.

Cuonzo Martin

There is already good news where the Shockers are concerned. The University of Missouri hired former Missouri State coach Cuonzo Martin as their next head coach, so that is one fewer job that could be offered to WSU head coach Gregg Marshall.

Oh, and organizers are keeping Louisville coach Rick Pitino and Kentucky leading man John Calipari separate. The practice times for these two hated rivals, at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse have been separated by over two hours.

If you have questions for the players or coaches, hit me up in the comments section or on twitter at @FatherHarry1.

I’ll try to fight through the reporter scrum and ask your question.

Playing the point at @UEAthletics_MBB is @EKUHoops transfer Tayshawn Comer. The @ValleyHoops squad opens its season on Tuesday, but we wanted to get to know Comer now. Here is our conversation. #ValleyRunsDeep #NCAAHoops

Graphic from @NateSilver538. As a 'news watcher' this is one of the most fascinating elections to watch. I don't truly like either candidate, so that makes it less exciting, but as a 'news oriented' person, this is incredible theater.
