Marcus Wilson – Nurturing Potential

Part Two – Scouting and Recruiting

(St. Louis, MO) – Marcus Wilson’s charitable work ‘Nurturing Potential International’ is dear to his heart and he is passionate about basketball. His travels take him around the world to help needy children, but he is also recruiting and scouting for the NBA.

From recruiting during his one season at Evansville and finding young players to help fulfill their dreams, Wilson is constantly working to help young people grow in character and in their basketball skills. He recruits, scouts and trains young people.

We discussed his role in bringing Evansville’s best players to the Purple Aces’ program and how Valley teams can succeed in the radically changing college basketball landscape. ‘Name-image-likeness’ and the portal pandemic have changed collegiate sports forever.

Wilson is realistic about how programs must change to succeed.

You can join me in donating to Marcus’ not-for-profit organization by going to ‘Nurturing Potential International‘. His work in Africa is truly significant.

Head here for ‘Part One’ of our conversation that is more focused on Wilson’s charitable work and his past career at Evansville.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Josh Betts @BettsOnSports

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
