McCall & Cleveland Head to NBA

(St. Louis, MO) – Two explosive Ohio Valley Conference players are still pursuing their NBA dreams. Tennessee State guard Tahjere McCall and Southeast Missouri’s Antonius Cleveland will be playing in the NBA’s Summer League.

Both players are outstanding athletes that have improved with age. Cleveland who was a part of the college Dark Horse Dunker competition, signed with Portland’s summer team. The 6’6 guard averaged 16.6 points per game and 5.1 rebounds is just the second Redhawk to sign with an NBA summer team.

Tyler Stone played with Minnesota in 2015.

McCall was a two time OVC ‘Defensive Player of the Year’ and  all conference performer, signed with Brooklyn. The 6’5 guard set and then broke his own Tigers’ single season steals mark during his junior and senior seasons.

Head coach Dana Ford told me once that McCall’s greatest skill was ‘playing hard’. He averaged 14.3 points and five rebounds per game for the Tigers.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
