Missouri State Joins Hall of Fame Classic

Editor: The following is part of a press release from halloffameweekend.com.

(Kansas City, MO) – The Big 12’s Texas Tech, nationally ranked in the Top 20, along with regional teams Nebraska and Missouri State, and Pac-12 power USC are set to face off next season in Kansas City, Mo., in the championship rounds of the 2018 Hall of Fame Classic Nov. 19-20 at Sprint Center. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the field today.

The Hall of Fame Classic will be the culminating event of college basketball’s Hall of Fame Weekend, which also includes the 13th annual induction ceremony for the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. That event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland in Kansas City.

The semifinal rounds will be held on Monday, Nov. 19. The finals will take place the following day, Tuesday, Nov. 20, beginning with the consolation game, followed by the championship game. All four contests will be aired on an ESPN network.

The complete bracket, including matchups and television times for the 2018 Hall of Fame Classic, will be announced at a later date.

The event is named after the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, featured at the College Basketball Experience, the award-winning and highly interactive college basketball fan facility adjacent to Sprint Center. Opened in October 2007, the College Basketball Experience is the nation’s only facility that celebrates, in its entirety, the sport of men’s collegiate basketball. The tournament, in partnership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), was initially established in 2001 as the Guardians Classic.

Playing the point at @UEAthletics_MBB is @EKUHoops transfer Tayshawn Comer. The @ValleyHoops squad opens its season on Tuesday, but we wanted to get to know Comer now. Here is our conversation. #ValleyRunsDeep #NCAAHoops

Graphic from @NateSilver538. As a 'news watcher' this is one of the most fascinating elections to watch. I don't truly like either candidate, so that makes it less exciting, but as a 'news oriented' person, this is incredible theater.
