MVC/OVC Runaway Leaders

Women’s Weekly Awards

(St. Louis, MO) – Runaway leaders are dominating the weekly awards of the Missouri Valley and Ohio Valley Conferences. Two players have now won these awards six different times and multiple players are repeat winners.

Runaway Leaders – Players of the Week

Drake’s Katie Dinnebier is claiming her sixth MVC ‘Player of the Week’ award. The 5’8 guard averaged 22 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals as the Bulldogs won a pair of games. Drake (11-5, 5-0) has won nine straight games. This is Dinnebier’s fifth straight weekly award.

Southern Indiana’s Meredith Raley averaged 27 points per game and is this week’s OVC ‘Player of the Week’. Raley is the second OVC player to win the award multiple times. Eastern Illinois’ Macy McGlone has earned four of the awards.

Newcomer Awards

Illinois State’s Addison Martin picked up her second MVC ‘Newcomer of the Week’ award. Martin and her teammates handed Northern Iowa its first league loss and she averaged 13 points and seven rebounds during the Redbirds’ two games.

Former Redbird, Brooke Coffey posted two, double-doubles during Lindenwood’s two-game sweep. The 6’1 sophomore averaged 13.5 points and eleven rebounds for the Lions and is the OVC ‘Newcomer of the Week’ for the third time.

Runaway Leaders – Freshman Awards

Evansville’s Camryn Runner is now a six-time MVC ‘Freshman of the Week’ winner. Runner scored 24 points and handed out six assists against Indiana State. The Evansville star is averaging 16.7 points per game.

Morehead State’s Maia Rosarion made the Eagles’ game-winning shot against Southeast Missouri and averaged 14 points, 11.5 rebounds in last week’s play. She is the OVC ‘Freshman of the Week’. Rosarion is this week’s only first-time winner.
