Prep Hoops Underway in the STL

(St. Louis, MO) – It is tournament season in the St. Louis area. High school teams are prepping for the season with tournaments of all shapes and sizes.

East Side tournaments and some of the outlying areas to St. Louis began tournaments last week and the season begins in earnest this week. The legendary Southside Classic is underway, Vianney hosts a strong field at their tournament and Pattonville boasts some of the area’s best teams.

Later this month Webster Groves hosts their annual event and MICDS will invite a broad cross section of teams to their Holiday Classic. That tournament raises funds for Special Olympics.

There are many future Division 1 players in the STL and this proves to be a season where good teams and good players will be more than worth the small price of admission.

Check back to this site as very soon we’ll be announcing some exciting prep coverage.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
