Prove God Right

Illinois’ Ben Humrichous

(St. Louis, MO) – Illinois forward Ben Humrichous continues to prove God right. The former Evansville star has moved to Champaign with hopes of making it to the NBA. However, he has bigger dreams than a pro basketball career.

After a successful NAIA career at Huntington University, the 6’9 sharp shooter joined the Purple Aces and was named to the Missouri Valley’s All-Newcomer Team.

Humrichous loved his time at Evansville and believes he’s a better player and person for having played for coach David Ragland. His skills fit nicely in the Illinois program. Coach Brad Underwood and the Fighting Illini have reloaded for the coming season.

After consulting NBA scouts he knew he needed a full season at the highest levels of college basketball.

Prove God Right Apparel

Humrichous is launching an apparel line that will begin with tee shirts and wrist bands and will likely expand. It is launching today (September 20). When we spoke earlier this week, he told us that Ragland and his father were instrumental in the creation of the line.

He is keeping the the apparel as inexpensive as possible.

‘Prove God Right’ comes from Humrichous’ experience of being passed over by other coaches. He didn’t want to prove them wrong, but he did want to prove God right.

Humrichous wants to move beyond the apparel sales and into running camps to make impact on the lives of young people.
