The Many Hats of SIUE’s Joe Pott

SIUE Play-by-Play Man Joe Pott

(St. Louis, MO) – Joe Pott is one of the nicest men in broadcasting and is working his tenth season as the primary play-by-play voice of Southern Illinois Edwardsville sports (including basketball). We sat down recently to discuss Cougar basketball, his experiences in the Ohio Valley Conference and the growing basketball program under coach Jon Harris.

Pott says the SIUE is growing, the basketball program is taking small steps forward, he has huge respect for coach Harris and his favorite road venue from which to broadcast games is Murray State.

We discussed the future of Cougar basketball and the importance of continuing to make incremental progress.

Sit back and enjoy our latest edition of ‘Voices of the Valley’ with Joe Pott!

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Josh Betts @BettsOnSports

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
