(St. Louis, MO) – St. Louis, Kokomo and Memphis were made proud this week by the ‘Valley Conferences’. Those cities were represented by the ‘Player of the Week’ awards handed out by the three Valley conferences.

Kokomo, Indiana’s D. J. Balentine received the recognition from the Missouri Valley Conference. The Evansville junior averaged 25 points during the Purple Aces two victories. The reigning MVC scoring champion made six of his eight attempts from beyond the three point line.

Murray State sophomore Cameron Payne made folks in Memphis smile with his first weekly honor form the Ohio Valley Conference. Payne averaged 23 points, seven assists and three steals in the Racers two games. Payne is sixth nationally in the steals department.

People in St. Louis remember when Seth Jackson was torching the nets for CBC high school and the Truman State guard is at it again! Jackson was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference ‘Player of the Week’ for averaging 28 points for the Bulldogs. He dropped a career high 33 points on Quincy during Truman’s conference opening game.

Flooding, lightning strikes, etc. have cost @RacersHoops two home games. Had to play 'neutral site' tonight instead of at home and Wednesday's goes from home to away. Tough break for the Racers, and the whole area has been hit with difficulties. #FatherHarry

Murray State's scheduled home game Wednesday vs. Southern Illinois being moved to Banterra Center in Carbondale. #ValleyHoops

Gigantic game for @BradleyUMBB today in Des Moines. If they have a chance to catch @DrakeBulldogsMB, they have to win today. The Bulldogs can basically win the title today. @BustingBrackets breaks it all down. #FatherHarry https://bit.ly/3EGiVgi

Not rooting for any particular @ValleyHoops, but chaos is always fun. If things break certain ways, after today there could be a six-way tie for fifth place.
