UT Martin’s Ryan Ridder

The Building Blocks are Secure

(St. Louis, MO) – UT Martin’s Ryan Ridder is a proven builder and the foundation is secure in the Skyhawk program. Ridder’s team won eight games during his first season in the Ohio Valley Conference and nineteen last year. The Skyhawks (17-10, 10-4) are in a four-way battle for the OVC title and his team is growing as the season progresses.

Three different Skyhawk players have been named to one of the ‘Player of the Week’ honors and his team is the conference’s top scoring team. Defense seemed optional at the beginning of the season, but UTM is now playing some outstanding defense. When you combine those two things with scorers like  Jordan Sears and Jacob Crews, this is a very exciting and dangerous team.

We went one-on-one with the third year coach. He told us about the value of a ‘family atmosphere’ and about the building blocks he has established.

Playing the point at @UEAthletics_MBB is @EKUHoops transfer Tayshawn Comer. The @ValleyHoops squad opens its season on Tuesday, but we wanted to get to know Comer now. Here is our conversation. #ValleyRunsDeep #NCAAHoops

Graphic from @NateSilver538. As a 'news watcher' this is one of the most fascinating elections to watch. I don't truly like either candidate, so that makes it less exciting, but as a 'news oriented' person, this is incredible theater.
