(St. Louis, MO) – High School sports coverage is getting a face lift and really expanding! Coverage under a new banner of “Prep Sports Showcase” begins with the annual 14th Annual Webster Classic. Kevin Paulus and I will be some of the primary voices of this new endeavor and you can watch it ‘live’ at www.stlsportsproductions.com. Tonight’s game is flying under our former banner “The High School Sports Caravan” but that all changes after tonight. There will be more news concerning both ‘the Showcase’ and ‘the Caravan’ in the coming days!
The Webster Classic is a great tournament with an outstanding field. In addition to the host Statesmen is the Public High League’s Miller Career Academy, the Metro Catholic Conference’s Saint Louis U High, the Suburban West’s Marquette and Lafayette, an independent team in Maplewood and Lee’s Summit North.
Historic Roberts Gymnasium is one of my favorite high school gyms. Webster regularly wins its own tournament, but is no shoe-in. Miller Career Academy has scored more than 85 points three times already this season and SLUH just made it to the finals of the season opening Pattonville Tournament.
Due to inclement weather the games have been moved to 5:30 and 7:00 pm. Our streaming broadcast will begin at 5:20!
